Thank everyone for their kind words, I guess I sort of needed to hear them right now, been kinda down lately, and worried. The first time I posted this thread, someone posted and laughed at me, telling me I needed to open up my eyes and look at the big picture. That stung.

That page had me in tears big time. Thanks for sharing it with us 2. In my honest opinion the only thing that makes you (military g/f's) different then a wife is a bloody metal band (wedding ring). Your feelings, emotions, fears, highs 'n lows,joys, accomplishments, the support you provide to your loved ones away is the exact same. Like Rog said you too deserve to be saluted. I wish you the best with your sweetie and dammit it's less then a month now girlfriend! Oh and I say hell yeah go for it and post a pic of the 2 of you when he gets back.
